Who we are and what this covers

Box Squad Dumpster Rentals ("Box Squad," "we," "us," or "our") operates getboxsquad.com and provides roll-off dumpster rental across Denton County and the broader DFW area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

It applies to this website, our online booking system, and the phone, text and email conversations we have with customers. It does not cover third-party websites we link to.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact and job details — name, phone number, email address, delivery address, container size, dates, and what you're throwing away.
• Site information — gate codes, placement instructions, and any photos you send us of the driveway or jobsite.
• Payment information — processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
• Correspondence — the content of texts, emails and voicemails you send us, and notes we make about your job.
• Reviews and testimonials you choose to give us.

Information collected automatically

• Device and browser type, operating system, and screen size
• Pages viewed, time on page, and the site or ad that referred you
• Approximate location derived from IP address — city or region level, not precise location
• Cookie and pixel identifiers used for analytics and advertising

Information from third parties

We may receive information from advertising and analytics platforms about how you interacted with our ads, and from our booking and payment providers about your order and its status.

How we use your information

• Quote, schedule, deliver and pick up your container
• Communicate with you about your job — confirmations, reminders, delivery notifications, receipts
• Process payments and collect amounts owed
• Keep records of jobs, scale tickets and invoices
• Request a review after your rental
• Measure which marketing actually produces calls, and show ads to people likely to need a container
• Improve the website and our service
• Meet tax, DOT, environmental and other legal obligations, and resolve disputes

Advertising, remarketing and targeted ads

We advertise online, including through Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To do this we use cookies and tracking pixels — including the Meta Pixel and Google's advertising tags — which let us:

• Show ads to people who visited getboxsquad.com but didn't book (remarketing)
• Measure which ads and keywords lead to actual bookings
• Build audiences of people whose interests resemble our existing customers

These platforms may combine what they learn about your visit with information they already hold about you. We do not control how they use it — their own privacy policies govern that.

You can limit this. Google's ad settings at myadcenter.google.com and Meta's ad preferences let you control personalization; the DAA and NAI opt-out pages cover many networks at once; and most browsers let you block third-party cookies outright. We also honor Global Privacy Control signals where our systems can detect them.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

• Service providers who run parts of our business — our dumpster rental and dispatch software, our payment processor, our email and phone providers, and our analytics and advertising platforms. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
• Advertising platforms — as described above, for measurement and remarketing.
• Disposal facilities and regulators — where required for lawful disposal or reporting.
• Legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our business, or the public.
• Business transfer — if the business is sold or merged, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookie types:

• Essential — needed for the site and booking system to function.
• Analytics — Google Analytics, to understand which pages people use and where they leave.
• Advertising — Google and Meta tags, used for the remarketing described above.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the booking flow.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your job — confirming a quote, scheduling delivery, letting you know the truck is on the way, and sending your receipt. These are transactional messages tied to a rental you requested.

Marketing texts are separate and require your explicit opt-in. Consent to marketing texts is never a condition of renting from us, and we do not share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See our Terms of Service for the full messaging terms.

How long we keep information

We keep customer and job records as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal obligations. In practice, job and invoice records are retained for at least seven years for tax purposes, scale tickets and disposal records for as long as environmental rules require, and marketing contact information until you ask us to remove it.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to records we're legally required to keep.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections on this website and access controls on our booking system. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

• Email — click unsubscribe in any marketing email.
• Text — reply STOP.
• Ads — use the platform and industry opt-outs listed above, or block third-party cookies.
• Access, correction or deletion — email or call us and we'll take care of it.
• Photos — ask us to remove any photo of your property from our marketing.

Texas residents

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), Texas residents have the right to confirm whether we process their personal data and access it, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling.

We do not sell personal data. We do use targeted advertising as described above, and you may opt out at any time by contacting us or using the ad controls in that section.

To make a request, email info@getboxsquad.com or call us. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend once by another 45 days where reasonably necessary. If we decline, you may appeal by replying to our response; if the appeal is denied you may complain to the Texas Attorney General.

California residents

If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

We do not sell personal information as that term is defined by the CCPA. Our use of advertising cookies may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising; you can opt out using the controls above or by contacting us.

Children's privacy

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-party links

This site links to other websites — a disposal facility, a supplier, a review platform. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version is always posted at getboxsquad.com/privacy.html with the last-updated date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to customers in our system.
